We've been helping people create successful events since 1990, and all those years of party-planning experience have taught us a few things about keeping guests happy. For starters, we've learned what most people don't want: An overbearing, game show host wannabe who can't leave the microphone alone. Our disc jockeys are engaging and well-spoken emcees, but they'll never upstage the stars of your celebration - you and your guests. Our main focus of attention always remains on your dance floor; keeping people on their feet from the first song to the last is our goal.

Who We Are

Doug Prochazka is owner & operator of Hot Trax.  He earned a Broadcast Journalism degree from K-State.  While at KSU, Doug volunteered many hours as DJ & News Producer on the campus radio station.  After college, he worked at a variety of radio stations.  The low paying radio gigs coupled with the music playlist restrictions fueled his desire to seek a different career.  Doug then went to work for the "Rangers club" in Salina.  He mixed it up playing Top-40 & occasional 2-step for the cowboys.   Doug thrived on the crowd interaction the club offered as well as the free reign of music selection.  He was hired by another mobile dj to do weddings.  Vinyl was giving way to cd much to the relief of the mobile jock.  No more skipping needles & scratched records to haul around.  Doug has performed at many hundreds of weddings in the past 20 years.  You can rely on this experience to give you a night of fun & relaxation that your guests will appreciate & praise you for.
